Congratulations and a warning to the NZ wine industry
At the Romeo Bragato conference in Napier, grape-growers and winemakers today committed to continuing a focus on the quality of New Zealand wines.
Stuart Smith, chair of New Zealand Winegrowers, opened the 15th annual Bragato conference by congratulating the New Zealand grape and wine industry on its combined success, as export sales near the significant $1 billion milestone.
However Mr Smith warned that New Zealand grape-growers and winemakers must continue to manage the balance between supply and demand in the industry if this growth is to continue and the quality reputation to be maintained.
