At the Romeo Bragato conference in Napier, grape-growers and winemakers today committed to continuing a focus on the quality of New Zealand wines. 

Stuart Smith, chair of New Zealand Winegrowers, opened the 15^th annual Bragato conference by congratulating the New Zealand grape and wine industry on its combined success, as export sales near the significant $1 billion milestone.

However Mr Smith warned that New Zealand grape-growers and winemakers must continue to manage the balance between supply and demand in the industry if this growth is to continue and the quality reputation to be maintained.
